WHITE WATER – Open

- Fees paid are non refundable unless in exceptional circumstances. The committee may allow you to transfer a booking to another session if you are unable to attend. Please contact committee@monklandscanoeclub.co.uk if you require additional information. Sessions may be transferred to other members of the club that meet the following requirements.
- These sessions are aimed at paddlers that have a BCU inland 3 star or above. If you do not hold this qualification please contact us on Pinkston@monklandscanoeclub.co.uk to arrange an assessment
- Sessions are open to current members of Monklands Canoe Club only. If you are not a member please contact us on secretary@monklandscanoeclub.co.uk and either arrange an introductory session or membership to the club.
- The club advises all members to complete one of the following qualifications before taking part in any un-coached sessions on White Water
o BCU White Water Safety and Rescue
o BCU Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue
o Swift Water Rescue Technician
- Participants understand that kayaking is an assumed risk sport. Although all measures have been taken to avoid incident participants understand that they are responsible for the safety of themselves while on the water.
- Participants must act in accordance to instructions provided by Pinkston Watersports or any official/coach/leader/ESO representing Monklands Canoe Club or Glasgow Kayak Club.
- If you see a fellow paddler in trouble or out of their boat please offer support to allow them to return to safety.
- Monklands Canoe Club are not responsible for any damage, loss or theft caused to personal items used on club sessions or events
- Any club equipment must be returned in the same condition as found at the start of the session. Any damage or loss must be reported to a club representative.
- All personal equipment used must be suitable for the activity participated in. For advise please refer to a coach or club representative.
- Helmets and Buoyancy Aids must be worn at all times
- Participants confirm that they comply with any other procedures provided by the club including Child Protection, Membership conditions or general procedures.
