Membership is not needed to give this fantastic sport a shot as we allow 2 introductory flat water kayak and canoe sessions (excludes summer courses where membership is required at booking) prior to us asking you join the Club and to pay the membership fee.

Once you have completed your introductory sessions can complete online application form and join our club. Membership gives you the following;

    • Use of the clubs kayaks, canoes, paddles and all our other equipment
    • Access to all our club sessions
    • Instruction from our qualified coaches

Membership is generally open to over 12’s for individual members and over 9’s as part of family memberships that have at least 1 paddling adult over the age of 18. We will, on occasion, make exceptions to this. If you feel that you would like to discuss these exceptions please contact us on info@monklandscanoeclub.co.uk.

Membership Terms and Conditions (please read conditions below before completing application)

  • Anyone under the age of 16 must have parental permission to attend and may be required to be accompanied by an adult.
  • All members joining the Club shall be deemed to accept the terms of the club constitution and any by-laws published from time to time by the Club.
  • All renewal membership fees are payable by 30th September.
  • Paddlers are advised to carry a note of any emergency information in their buoyancy aid.
  • All new membership applications require approval from the clubs committee. Once submitted your application will be reviewed. If your application is accepted a membership will be issued to you. If your application is not accepted or we have any queries you will be contacted by a member of committee. If you have any queries during this time please contact us on info@monklandscanoeclub.co.uk.
  • A condition of Paddle Scotland Affiliation is that the full names, address, gender, Date of Birth and personal PS affiliation of all club members is provided to them by the club. The PS data protection statement is on their web site. PS provides third party liability insurance to members of affiliated clubs when participating in official club activities

Please note: all fees for membership details are reviewed at the AGM in April each year. Any changes in prices, categories or terms will be applied with effect from 30 September.
